Mark your calendars—the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Philippines will be going live on Facebook on Saturday, March 27, to celebrate Earth Hour 2021. The organization is launching EH PHlix 2021, a set of live shows that will discuss pressing environmental issues and possible solutions. The stream is part of WWF’s #SpeakUpForNature campaign, an effort to bring about dialogue and meaningful action in committing to a more sustainable world.

According to WWF, the campaign comes at a crucial time: In 2021, United Nations conferences regarding sustainability will take place; in those conferences world leaders will pledge to specific sustainability goals, which will carve the path all the way to 2030.

“What that means for us is an opportunity to use the moment to speak up for nature, and to show our leaders what we care about so that they go into these conferences with a clear message and mandate from us citizens,” WWF-Philippines Executive Director Katherine Custodio says.

Here’s the schedule for PHlix 2021

Kicking off the livestream at 3:30 p.m. is "Wildlife Conservation for Kids", hosted by WWF-Philippines Ambassadors Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski and Xia Vigor, with the WWF-Philippines’ Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Team.

At 4:30 p.m., Chef Robby Goco of Cyma, Souv, and Green Pastures, and Greenspace's Rina Papio will be joining Ambassadors Pia Wurtzbach and KC Concepcion and the Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Team for "Feed the Future: Sustainable Dining 101"

Afterwards, KALIPI President Wilma Arevalo will be joining Ambassador Iza Calzado and the WWF-Philippines Plastics Program in "Tackling The Plastic Problem" at 6:00 p.m.

Finally, the countdown to Earth Hour 2021 will start at 7:00 p.m., hosted by National Ambassadors Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez. The show will run until 9:30 p.m. with the traditional Grand Switch-Off at 8:30 p.m.

WWF is also encouraging ambassadors, experts, and celebrities alike to share their efforts towards a more sustainable lifestyle on social media. Viewers can join in by using #EarthHour2021, #EarthHourPhilippines2021, and #SpeakUpForNature.

Earth Hour PHlix 2021 will take place on March 27, 2021 from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. Follow them on Facebook to join the watch party.
