How to Join

1. Follow @gridmagazineph and @easterncommph on Instagram.
2. Post your photos from around the Philippines that showcase your perspectives on: 
   ‍
   A) What makes a good day  | What makes your day-to-day life interesting? What keeps you going? Show us moments of creativity, adventure, and authenticity.
   
   ‍B) Portraits of community  |  Who do you spend your best days with? Show us how you connect with others, whether in person or online.
3. Tag @gridmagazineph and @easterncommph. Make sure to use the competition hashtags #OneDayinthePH and#FirstConnectionsAreTheStrongest!
4. Our resident photographers will then select our favorite images to create a collective image of One Day in the Philippines.

Contest Guidelines

1. The #OneDayinthePH competition is open to all interested parties aged 18 and over.
2. Participants may submit a maximum of ten (10) entries over the competition period of August 5 to 13, 2020.
3. All entries will undergo an anonymous selection process by GRID Magazine’s resident photographers.
4. Fifty (50) selected finalists will be contacted directly via Instagram starting August 14, 2020. Finalists will be asked to submit a high resolution copy of their entries and a brief description of their photo.
5. Entries from all finalists will be featured on GRID Magazine’s One Day in the Philippines gallery, and subsequently, the Eastern Communications microsite. Images may also be published on GRID Magazine's and Eastern Communications' respective Instagram accounts.
6. All finalists will receive a free copy of any GRID Volume of their choice.​​ One winner will receive the complete magazine collection of GRID Vol. 01 to 09, and prizes from Eastern Communications.
   

Image Guidelines

1. All entries must be images that were taken in the Philippines.
2. All entries must be original images, taken by the participant. Participants found deliberately submitting copyright-protected content not of their ownership will be disqualified and banned from future GRID Magazine competitions.
3. Entries portraying any the following will be removed:
   
   A) Inappropriate and/or offensive content;
   ‍
   B) Provocative nudity;
   
   C) Violence, human rights and/or environmental violations;
   
   D) Themes deemed to be contrary to the law, religious, cultural & moral practices of the Philippines.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit multiple entries?

Yes. You can submit up to ten (10) entries total for the competition. However, each submission must be unique and no photo may be submitted twice.

Can I submit images that have been included in other contests?

Yes. Photos that have won or been included in other competitions, including those of GRID Magazine’s, may be submitted, subject to the previous competitions’ rules of exclusivity and distribution.

Can I include a watermark on my entries?

Entries with borders, logos, identifying marks, and/or any other visible references will not be accepted. In the event that your image/s will be shared and/or printed, GRID Magazine will ensure you are given full credit.

Can I post-process my images?

Basic editing, including color enhancement, the use of filters, and cropping, is acceptable, provided any such post-processing will not affect the authenticity and/or subject of the image.

If I win, how can I claim my prizes?

Winners will be contacted directly with more detailed information on how to claim their prizes.
